Where are Sunwell apartments located and what their surroundings can offer?
Beach bars, restaurants, children’s and sports playgrounds, well-kept beaches, and a clean sea are only part of what Gajac/Kolanjski Gajac has to offer.
Sunwell apartments are located in the tourist complex Gajac, or to be more exact Kolanjski Gajac.
Just to be clear, Gajac is administratively divided into two parts. The older part of the place is named Gajac, while the newer part is Kolanjski Gajac.
Our apartments are located only 100 m from the local beach in a quiet neighborhood with houses, apartments, and villas.
The beach is pebbly, with a beautiful crystal-clear sea with the sand bottom. Shallow and warm sea at summer, pebbles and sand make the beach perfect for children.
Also, just by the beach, there is a new children’s playground.
Promenade by the beach
Along the beach, there is a 1.5-kilometer-long promenade that connects the whole Gajac and Kolanjski Gajac. Throughout the promenade, beach bars and restaurants are open during the summer season, where you can relax during the day and in the evening. Also, along the promenade during the summer months, there is an Aqua park, trampolines, and other activities and attractions for children.
Along the promenade, there are also beach volleyball courts, a basketball court, an outdoor gym, bocce courts, ping-pong tables, and another children’s playground.
What does the promenade offer?
The promenade is ideal for day and evening walks and sports activities. At the same time, it connects the whole area, with the center of Gajac where you can find shops, a small local market, a bakery, restaurants, and ATMs.
The nearest restaurant Papillon is located only 70 meters from our apartments and is open from June to October.
The nearest restaurant Studenac/Lito is located about 350 meters from our apartments. In the summer months, there is a stand with local fruits and vegetables in front of the store.
Where do the roads lead from Gajac?
The promenade is connected to a 5.5-kilometer-long promenade which leads to the village Kolan and the smaller town Mandre. The new promenade, which is mostly gravel and made of boardwalk, leads to other beaches down the coastline, and great for those who like quieter places to enjoy the sea and the sun.
On the other hand, the promenade is connected to a small place next to Gajac, Skuncini Stani, through which the road leads to Novalja. Unfortunately, it is impossible to get to the town Novalja along the coastline because between Gajac and Novalja there is a closed area of auto-camp Strasko.
The promenade is great for walking, trekking, and cycling.
Beach Zrće, Novalja, Pag and Zadar
Sunwell apartments are located two kilometers from the famous Zrce beach and three kilometers from the town of Novalja. There is a free public parking space in front of the apartments. The bus station is located 500 meters from the apartments.
